I'm just getting into calligraphy and currently own the Speedball starter kit. It has their 512 nib and c2 nib.
I currently have two questions that I have not been able to find straight-forward answers to anywhere else online.
1.) What nibs will fit the basic Speedball plastic straight holder? Are there only certain brands, types of nibs, etc. or will any nib fit? Specifically, I've been considering getting a G type nib and a smaller version of the Speedball c2 (maybe a c4-c6 size wise) but I've been thinking about the Brause versions of this nib style. So basically, will I need different holders for these different nibs or will the standard Speedball holder work?
2.) I am most interested in Uncial style calligraphy but I'm looking to be able to write small letters, not large ones. I currently have the Speedball c2 nib but it just doesn't work for small letters. What size would be ideal for average hand-writing size Uncial style letters? 1mm, 1.5mm, 0.5mm, etc.?
